Why not?

I've just been writing my bit for the newsheet, about the request for Executive nominations for 2008-2010 and came across this article in today's paper. It seems to me that many of the reasons outlined in the article are exactly the same as the ones which prevent us from putting ourselves forward for committees and from taking up other opportunities which come our way.

And contrary to perceptions, being on the Executive is a good deal more fun than it looks!

Why not consider putting yourself forward for the new Executive, then?
