In the news
So exciting to have the launch of our book today and to see ourselves in the media. A quick google turned up a page on the BBC news site and then, an online recording of Points West, recorded live at the launch party in Tewkesbury tonight (sorry don't seem to be able to fix up a link to that one)
We were told by publisher Matilda that we are into the THIRD print run - that's more than 2500 copies and really quite something, considering the Booker Prizewinner this year had sold just 3500 copies on the eve of the competition final.
Not that I'm going to draw comparisons, you understand ;-)
(Oh, and it's three months to the day since I made the initial phone call to Suttons, enquiring if they'd be interested in working on a Flood book with us)

Hello there Gill,
I received the flood book yesterday and stayed up half the night reading it.
My congratulations on a fine job.
I knew the floods were bad but had no idea as to the extent of them or the damage done.
Best wished to you all for as always going to the rescue of those in need. It has made me want to renew my lapsed membership of the CWA in Aus,it also brought a tear to my eye.
I will be in contact with Dale next week to get you your book on the embellisher sent over .
Again many thanks and best wished to all your members.
Llynne Neil.
