Our book on Google

Adeline Rucklidge, from Winchcombe WI has a family connections with Google, so it's thanks to her that our book has been taken up by them for their digital library. All very exciting!

She emailed me this morning, however, to say:

"The WI flood book is on Google, with the WI reference, but we are behind Amazon and Blackwell, and have gone to page 2. I think if more of our members were aware of the listing of our book under GFWI, they might just hit on it, and we would go up the page. There is more money for the flood relief from us than the bookstores."

Perhaps we might do that and see what happens?

Adeline, thank you and your "Google Connection" for doing what you can to promote our book worldwide. How many of us are fortunate enough to have that kind of influence?!

Happy New Year!

Dear me, quite a while since anything was said around here - anyone would think we've been busy!

Well, of course we have.

The Christmas Concerts this year were an absolute TRIUMPH! So many good things overheard as we were leaving, so many lovely letters and cards expressing thanks and congratulations to everyone involved. Thank you for them all. Such kind words are so very much appreciated and I've passed them all on to Anne and her committee.

So, another year and time to start planning again. There are still exciting things in the pipeline with a resolution conference coming up and a whole newsheet full of things to keep everyone out of mischief for a while. Personally, I'm simply looking forward to getting going again after what seems like an immensely long break.

Wishing you all the best for 2008! May GFWI flourish!
